If you’ve been frustrated by the UI of Sky’s streaming service, Now, we have some good news.
From next month, the platform will get a makeover by utilising NBCUniversal’s interface. The layout is already available on the American platform Peacock, and should make browsing series such as The Penguin and House of the Dragon much smoother.
While Tech Advisor hasn’t gone hands-on with the new platform yet, the first images show a layout that is remarkably like rivals such as Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+, with simple tiles and an easy-to-access menu on mobile.

Improvements include supposedly making it “easier to jump into the shows everyone is talking about”, new rails such as top 10 series, improved search functions, SkySports+ curated collections, and dedicated Kids profiles.
Carli Kerr, Managing Director of Now & Sky Content, gave the following quote on the update: “Migrating to NBCU’s Global Streaming Platform means Now members will benefit from the ongoing delivery of customer features that enhance the viewing experience and leverage the latest technologies and innovations across the platform”.
You’ll have to wait until at least 18 February 2025 for the new features to roll out, which will happen throughout February and March on TVs and tablets in the UK and Ireland.
We’ll be sure to test out the new Now interface when it launches and will highlight the biggest changes compared to the old platform.
