Nvidia’s flagship GeForce RTX 5090 and the 5080 have the spotlight, but the RTX 5060 Ti and 5060 GPUs are just off stage. Today’s update on the (as-yet unannounced) RTX 5060 specs comes by way of a Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) filing. It appears that MaxSun, a graphics card maker, may have inadvertently revealed that the RTX 5060 Ti will come in both 16GB and 8GB models. If that’s the case, it could give gamers a buffet of price points to choose from when picking out their next midrange graphics card.
The EEC filing has a list of MaxSun models for the RTX 5060 Ti and 5060, with clues about their specs revealed by the model names. Leaker Olrak29 surfaced the info yesterday and VideoCardz spotted his post. There is an MS-RTX5060Ti iCraft 8G AIGA, for example, suggesting that there will be an RTX 5060 Ti with 8GB of memory. Another model, the MS-RTX5060Ti iCraft 16G, also appears, among several other versions of the RTX 5060 Ti. An MS-RTX5060 iCraft OC8G shows up, too, but no standard RTX 5060s with 16GB of VRAM make an appearance. It looks like the model splitting is just for the Ti line.

Is this definitive proof there will be two versions of the RTX 5060 Ti? Nope. We’ve been in the game too long to believe it before we see it. But it’s certainly worth considering while waiting for the official release. Will double the VRAM really be worth the (considerable, we imagine) bump in price? Maybe, depending on how you plan to use the card, but we like the idea of splitting the model to make one that (hopefully) will provide an affordable on-ramp for budget gamers who want to try out the latest tech.
With any luck, we’ll learn more about the RTX 5060 Ti and 5060 in the coming weeks. For now, Nvidia’s flagship RTX 5090 is the talk of the town, both because it’s a beast and because it’s the only RTX 50 series card that has reviews out right now. Nvidia OK’d reviews of the top card ahead of the Jan. 30 release (for both the RTX 5090 and 5080) but is holding reviews of the RTX 5080 until the same date.
