I adore these special Windows wallpapers celebrating its 50th birthday, and I think you will too

Today is Windows’ 50th birthday! Did you get something nice? If you forgot all about it, don’t worry; it seems that Microsoft is in a giving mood and has instead granted us a lovely gift to celebrate. You can now snag some really nice wallpapers to celebrate the occasion, and each one comes with its own light and dark variant to suit your computer best.

Microsoft’s 50th anniversary wallpapers are real keepers

On Windows Blogs, Microsoft uploaded eight wallpapers to choose from. There are four themes, and each theme has a light and dark mode depending on which you prefer. • Microsoft Mahjong – a wallpaper that resembles the game Microsoft released in 2012.
• Cascading Solitaire – a wallpaper based on the amazing bouncing effect that Microsoft’s Solitaire game used when you won. The dark version has a clubs-based theme, while the light one uses hearts.
• Yellow tulips – a homage to the legendary Windows XP Bliss wallpaper, including a dark and mysterious version.
• Windows logo – Simple and to-the-point, it contains icons and logos throughout Windows’ history
