Following last year’s announcement and pre-order launch, we finally have our first in-hand look at Star Ace Toys’ 1:6 scale Ghostbusters figures, with today’s unboxing showcasing both Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore!
Expanding their Ghostbusters lineup, which thus far has been mostly ghost-heavy, with releases like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Slimer, and a Terror Dog, both figures come dressed in fabric uniforms and are packed with accessories, including Proton Packs with light-up features and an attached illuminating stream, interchangeable hands, radios, branded display stands, and, exclusive to Egon, a PKE Meter.
While the figures appear pretty close to what’s been advertised, arguably even better than earlier promotional photos, an important safety tip for those picking up a set: While images have shown otherwise, the light-up stream is wired into the Proton Pack, running through the wand, meaning it’s meant to be a permanent attachment. This makes for a highly effective display but somewhat limits options for posing.
If you’d like to trap one of these figures, or better yet, the full Ghostbusters team, they’re available for pre-order now through Star Ace Toys and Big Bad Toy Store. Priced at $284.99 each, they’re expected to ship later this month.
