Design and display
Galaxy The S25+ differs very little from its predecessor. Like it, it has a flat display with flat sides and three separate cameras on the back. Practically the only differences are slightly thinner bezels around the display and, like its siblings, a redesigned a ring around the rear camera lenses, clearly inspired by that of a foldable phone Galaxy From Fold6. As for the dimensions, Galaxy The S25+ is 0,1 mm smaller in height, 0,1 mm smaller in width, and 0,4 mm thinner year-on-year (7,3 vs. 7,7 mm) and also weighs 7 g less (190 g).
As for the display, there have been no changes at all year-over-year. It has a diagonal of 6,7 inches, a resolution of 1440 x 3120 px, an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 2600 nits.
Performance
Galaxy The S25+, like the S25 and S25 Ultra, uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for Galaxy, which is a slightly overclocked version of Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip. Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which was in the series Galaxy S24, according to Samsung, increases the performance of the processor unit by 37 %, graphics units by 30 % and neural units by 40%. In addition, it is also said to be more energy efficient, thanks to being manufactured using a 3nm process (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is built on a 4nm process). The chipset is Galaxy The S25+ is paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage, there has been no change year-on-year.
Camera
Galaxy The S25+ has exactly the same rear camera setup as the Galaxy S24+, i.e. 50MPx main sensor, 10MPx telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 12MPx ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view. The front camera is again 12 megapixels.
Batteries and charging
Galaxy The S25+ draws power from a 4900 mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. So we haven’t seen any improvements in this area year-on-year either, except perhaps in the somewhat obscure Qi2 ready standard, for which you need a special case. In addition, the phone also supports wireless reverse charging, as expected, but Samsung kept the speed to itself. (most likely it will be 4,5 W again).
Dinner
Galaxy The S25+ will go on sale in the Czech Republic and elsewhere in the world on February 7. The price will be as follows:
- 12/256 GB variant: 28 CZK,
- 12/512 GB variant: CZK 31.
Year-on-year, the new “plus” model has become more expensive by CZK 1. As can be seen from the above, Galaxy The S25+ brings absolutely minimal improvements compared to the S24+, Samsung has obviously focused more on the software side of things with the new series, especially on new features Galaxy AI – the question here is still how many older models will get. In other words, if you have Galaxy S24+, switching to its successor is definitely not worth it.
