However, the creators of Hacks like to provide viewers with an emotional rollercoaster. The season finale was full of surprises and left fans biting their nails, wondering what would happen to Deborah and Ava next.

When could Hacks season 4 be released?
As for now, HBO hasn’t revealed any premiere date for season 4. However, we do know that the shooting for the new instalment has already kicked off, and the creators plan to film ten episodes this time (season 3 counts only eight). After teasing it during this year’s Emmys (Hacks won three awards), the happy news was announced via social media:
Season 2 arrived a year after season 1 was released. However, fans had to wait almost two years for season 3. The delay was caused mainly by the Hollywood strikes that lasted from May to September 2023.
If nothing unexpected happens this time, season 4 should debut much quicker. We estimate that the new adventures of Deborah and Ava could appear in the spring of 2025 – according to the Collider, the creators may aim for an early May 2025 premiere.
What could the plot of Hacks season 4 be about?

The season 3 finale of Hacks was full of tears and anger. A painful betrayal was met with revenge, and Deborah and Ava officially became frenemies.
In season 4, both women should temper their strong emotions for the sake of the Late Night Show hosted now by Deborah. Knowing both characters, however, you can be sure we are in for plenty of quarrels and mutual malice.

It’s possible that the creators will also want to continue the storyline of Kathy, Deborah’s sister, with whom the diva has a problematic relationship. We can be more than sure that DJ will also reappear – in the new season, she will probably give birth to her child.
As for other characters, season 4 will surely cover the struggles of Jimmy and Kayla, who are trying to run their own PR agency. We really hope to see if Jimmy actually makes a movie about silent film star Fatty Arbuckle and how Kayla will fit her new job as an agent.
