Here are all 25 official Steam Sale events over the next twelve months

These days, paying sticker price for games on Steam only makes sense in very specific cases. Most of the time, you’re better off waiting until a Steam Sale event hits—if you care about saving money, anyway.

But when is the next Steam Sale? How many of them are there each year? Here’s everything you need to know before you check out.

How many Steam Sales are there per year?

There are usually four major Steam Sales every year, with one taking place in each quarter: a Spring Sale in spring, a Summer Sale in summer, an Autumn Sale in fall, and a Winter Sale in winter.

Those dates are usually fixed well ahead of time and they generally happen around the same time every year. But in between those dates, you’ll also see numerous smaller Steam Sales—and there can be up to 25 Steam Sales in a single year, so it’s easy to lose track.

The next major Steam Sale is…

As of this writing, the next big Steam Sale will take place in fall 2024 and you can expect numerous discounts and offers from a wide range of companies across thousands of games.

The official date of the Steam Autumn Sale is November 27, 2024 (which will run until December 4, 2024) before being followed shortly afterwards by the Steam Winter Sale on December 19, 2024 (which will run until January 2, 2025).

In addition to the major Steam sales, there are regular sales events for special genres or games from indie developers. These sales can be equally huge and are definitely worth checking out.
